I would imagine that wood would be considered a "pure" substance, compared to a mixture. trees (wood) grow using a mixture of things like water and sun, but this is all up to nature.. A pure substance made of two or more elements chemically combined in a set ratio pure substance a single kind of matter that always have a specific composition and a specific set of properties.. Acids and bases, conservation of matter, atoms, atomic structure and atomic timeline, pure substance, heterogeneous mixture or homogeneous mixture?, physical change or chemical change?, matter, physical change or chemical change?.
